Established re-routes on Joe Pye, Queen Anne, and Skullcap trails. Removed hundreds of blowdowns on Poverty Creek trail system. Implemented Mayapple causeways, drainage, and log-skinny. We help community stakeholders by: Designing new trails through trail scoping and design, trail layouts and surveying. Building new trails by hand or assisting machine built trails. Maintaining existing trails by trimming back brush, keeping trails clear of trees and brush, building or rebuilding drains and rerouting trails when required. In addition, we’ve been very active in trail building on the new brush mountain park properties. Specific trails and out involvement are below! McDonald Hollow Built Crosscut by hand. Helped with trail layout, cleared the corridors, and completed finish work on Wilkes Wood, Ida May, Pine Forest, and Turkey Trot. Trail construction was carried out by a contractor.
