Trail stewards "adopt" a trail and perform regular maintenance.
Want to get involved but can’t often make it to trail work? Have a favorite trail you think deserves some extra love?
Trail stewards "adopt" a trail and agree to perform the following tasks after attending a trail maintenance training session with PCTC.
Inspect your trail regularly.
Perform maintenance tasks that can be safely and effectively accomplished by you or a small group.
Maintenance tasks may include: removal of small tree blow downs (with a hand-saw), drainage cleaning and/or repair, and corridor pruning with hand tools
Report work completed and larger issues that need attention to the PCTC board for future work days.
Advocate for volunteerism and engagement in trail maintenance.
